'Study with your head, perform with your heart'
From 3–6 August 2027, an exclusive four-day Piano Masterclass will take place at the private estate of Wibi Soerjadi. This intensive programme is designed for pianists who aspire to perform at the highest artistic level. Through a unique combination of individual masterclasses, in-depth coaching and inspiring group sessions, participants receive personal guidance aimed at unlocking their full musical and technical potential.
The masterclasses focus on solving the challenges that many pianists encounter, including:
- Memorising repertoire with confidence
- Playing consistently under the pressure of performance
- Overcoming technical limitations despite hours of practice
- Preventing tension and pain in the hands, arms and shoulders
- Developing effortless speed and virtuosity
- Achieving greater pianistic control and tonal refinement
- Understanding the structure of a score and bringing the music vividly to life
- Conquering stage fright and performing with confidence
A central element of the course is Wibi Soerjadi's internationally acclaimed Floating Hand Technique—an innovative approach that has helped countless pianists achieve greater freedom, control and artistic expression at the keyboard.
The programme concludes with a participants' concert, offering everyone the opportunity to present their work in a supportive yet professional concert setting.
Two Levels
Level A – Professional pianists, conservatory students and graduates, or those performing at an equivalent level. Level B – Advanced amateur pianists with a serious passion for piano performance.
Participation
The fee is €695 and includes four full days of tuition, accommodation and all meals.
As places are limited, admission is by selection. Applicants are requested to submit a two-minute video performance together with a brief letter of motivation.
